Two prestigious awards are presented each year, in recognition of loved ones who are no longer with us. Winner of the Charles Greenlee HA/AA Supreme Futurity Champion for 2008, was Illuminous My Omiley, owned by the Sharps. (This award honors WCAHA Board member Grace Greenlee’s father.)

Don’t forget to nominate your mares in foal by Dec. 31, 2008 to make the resulting offspring eligible for “big money” at next year’s fall show. An entry form can be found elsewhere.

In addition, you might want to bid on one of a large group of outstanding stallions available through WCAHA’s upcoming All-Star Stallion Futurity Auction. Twenty stallion services were purchased in 2008, most from states other than North and South Carolina. The proceeds from this auction benefit the Futurity program, and every penny raised in a given year is distributed back to the owners whose weanlings and yearlings participate in the Futurity classes at the Fall show.
